I arrived at the Chattahoochee Nature Center on the afternoon of January 7, 2013, to see a female Bald Eagle sunning herself in the sunny mild afternoon weather. In a few moments, she jumped to the ground, and walked down to the lake. She bathed in the water for about 15 minutes, going completely under from time to time. Then, she climbed out and flew up to the perches to dry off in the afternoon sunset.
