Přednáška se prostřednictvím karikatur a satiry zaměřila na tři důležitá osmičková výročí, tedy na roky 1918, 1938 a 1948. K vidění byly více či méně vtipné satirické kresby vytvořené Čechy, Slováky i českými Němci. Přítomní se seznámili s alternativní obrazovou historií našeho území - od první republiky, přes druhou světovou válku, dobu poválečnou až do počátku padesátých let. Stranou nezůstali ani více či méně zapomenuté osobnosti autorů karikatur. Málokdo dnes ví, že jeden z nejvýznamnějších karikaturistů Evropy, Hanns Erich Köhlera, pochází z našeho regionu.
