17. listopadu se na Filozofické fakultě UJEP konalo již páté symposium, pořádané redakcí revue Ergot. Navzdory tomu, že byla sobota a státní svátek, téma sebevraždy, jemuž byla akce věnována, přilákalo dostatečný počet účastníků – aktivních i pasivních – „přespolních“ i z řad „laické“ veřejnosti. 14 přednášejících kombinovalo perspektivu filosofickou, religionistickou, psychologickou, etickou i historickou, náročnost přednášek však nepřekročila možnosti sledovat výklad i tehdy, jestliže posluchač nebyl v daném oboru specialistou. Přítomní zaměstnanci toxikologického pracoviště Krajské nemocnice nám potvrdili, že i pro ně, kteří se zabývají např. sebevražednými pokusy o otravu, byl „pohled z druhé strany“ přínosný. Přednášející studenti z pražských fakult nás potěšili poděkováním za vstřícné prostředí pro jejich první veřejná vystoupení. Jediný přítomný zahraniční odborník T. Puškárik, bratislavský psychoanalytik, pak přislíbil účast na dalším chystaném symposiu, jež na téma válka chceme uspořádat 25. 5. 2018. HT
