<br><b>Historici se zúčastnili mezinárodního symposia v USA</b><br><br>Na začátku května (2.-5. 5.) se na University of Arizona, Tuscon, AZ, USA, která má přes 45.000 studentů, konalo mezinárodní sympózium na téma Imaginace a fantazie ve středověku a raném novověku ("Imagination and Fantasy in the Middle Ages and Early Modern Time").<br>Tento rok byly na jeho program přijaty příspěvky dvou členů akademické obce KHI FF UJEP - kromě pravidelného účastníka této akce, proděkana Mgr. Davida Tomíčka, PhD., se jednalo i o studenta doktorského studia na KHI PhDr. Filipa Hrbka, pro kterého šlo o první cestu na univerzitu ve Spojených státech amerických. Příspěvek dr. Davida Tomíčka nesl název "Creatures of Medieval Maps and Contemporary Medicine" (Příšery středověkých map a soudobá medicína), kdežto dr. Filip Hrbek se věnoval fantastickým místům, předmětům a příšerám v českojazyčné epice 14. století ("Fantastic Places, Objects, and Creatures in the Czech-Language Epic in the 14th Century"). Sympózia se účastnili nejen vědci z univerzit v USA (namátkou Arizona, Washington či Harvard), ale i z jiných zemí světa (Itálie, Švédsko, Rakousko nebo i Egypt). Historici z UJEP v této konkurenci uspěli a výsledky jejich bádání by měli být publikovány v mezinárodní publikaci mapující představivost středověku a raného novověku. <br>
