Spletitý osud zavál Terst na italskou periférii a nás tak zase – pokolikáté už? – zaveze transalpský rychlík do jiného času...
Jízdní řád nás neomezuje, jen dává našim cestám a neřádům řád. Volná jízdenka je pak onou svobodou, jaké se mi coby řidiči na ucpaných silnicích tolik nedostává. To na perónech si dopřáváme pocitu kosmonautů na oběžné dráze, kteří se rozhodují, kam svou raketu nasměřují: do hlubin a dálek Všehomíra či do atmosféry rodné Země? Anebo jen změníme úhel letu a pohledu, abychom viděli okolní galaxie v odlišném světle a za jiných časometrů?
