Návštěvníci Národního parku Šumava můžou na nové naučné stezce sledovat unikátní obnovu rašeliniště. Vznikla u Soumarského Mostu díky grantu z programu Přeshraniční spolupráce s Bavorskem. Partnerem projektu je muzeum z nedaleké Haidmühle, z jehož iniciativy vznikl podobný projekt naučné stezky na revitalizovaném rašeliništi Haidfilz.
Bezpečný přístup do rašeliniště zajistí turistům 1,5 kilometr dlouhý chodník z fošen, který vede od vodáckého kempu k téměř desetimetrové vyhlídkové věži. Návštěvníci se dozví podrobné informace o lokalitě z pěti tabulí, které jsou instalovány podél stezky.
Pozemek rašeliniště o rozloze téměř 70 hektarů patří městu Volary, které už od počátku se zřízením naučné stezky souhlasí. Poblíže lokality je vlaková zastávka Soumarský Most. Bavorští návštěvníci mohou nasednout na vlak v Novém Údolí...Délka stezky 1520 m (z toho 601 m po poválce), vyhlídková věž 9,22 m,
