V sobotu 14. 7. 2012 se uskutečnil již čtvrtý ročník závodu v tradičním kosení trávy - Volarský sekáč. Na Maxových loukách (ulice Mlýnská) se sešlo téměř třicet závodníků a závodnic dá se říci z celých Čech. Novinkou letošního ročníku bylo zohlednění věku v mužské a ženské kategorii. Ženy pod i nad šedesát kosily sice čtverec stejně velký (5x5 m), ovšem mužům nad šedesát let se soutěžní pole zmenšilo na polovinu, tj. na 5x10 metrů. Zdatným juniorům byl čtverec naopak oproti loňskému roku zdvojnásoben na 2x4 metry...
