Volarské pivobraní se i přes nepřízeň počasí povedlo. Návštěvníci měli možnost ochutnat šest druhů piv a první sud svijanského piva byl vypit už dvě hodiny po zahájení.
Do soutěže kouření doutníků "Modrý dým" se přihlásilo 37 soutěžících. "Minuloroční rekord jsme nepřekonali, přesto čas vítěze nebyl vůbec špatný," prozradil nám hlavní rozhodčí a organizátor soutěže ing. Martin Janda. Na třetím místě se umístnil Miroslav Kravčišin z Volar v čase 00:38:20 min. Druhé místo putuje do Jinína u Strakonic a to Pavlovi Holubičkovi, který udržel popel 00:40:50 min. Vítězem soutěže se letos stal Robert Pročka, místostarosta města Volary v čase 00:55:20 min. Gratulujeme vítězům!
V rámci večera proběhl křest nové knihy volarského spisovatele Romana Kozáka Pasov, zpáteční..., která vyšla v sušickéhém nakladatelství dr. Radovana Rebstoecka.
Svou premiéru si také odbylo plátno provizorního letního kina.
