Kamenný hrad <b>Veveří</b> tyčící se na skalnatém ostrohu nad brněnskou přehradou je skutečnou perlou středověkého stavitelství. Vznikl pravděpodobně v první polovině 13. století jako malý lovecký hrádek či pouze dvorec moravských markrabat. Největšího rozmachu se dočkal v polovině 14. století za vlády moravského markraběte Jana Jindřicha, mladšího bratra císaře Karla IV., který z Veveří učinil jedno ze svých hlavních sídel. V současné době je jedním z nejrozsáhlejších moravských hradních areálů. <br>
