<b>Chełmno </b><br>Chełmno je polské okresní město v kujavsko-pomořském vojvodství na dolním toku řeky Visly u soutoku s řekou Frybou.<br>Historické centrum Chełmna leží na vysokém svahu, asi 1,5 km od Visly. Chełmno bylo už od raného středověku hradiště ležící na prastaré cestě spojující hradiště lužické kultury.<br>V polovině 13. století začal největší rozvoj města, které vstoupilo do Hanzy, nezískalo však tak velký význam jako např. Toruň. V roce 1466 bylo Chełmno a jeho okolí opět v hranicích Koruny polskho králoství.<br>Chełmno je dokonale zachované středověké město s jedněmi z nejdelších hradeb v Polsku. Název města znamená osada na kopci.<br>Do nechvalné historie města patří fakt, že zde byl vůbec první vyhlazovací tábor druhé světové války, v němž vraždili lidi plynem. Včetně českých dětí z Lidic.<br>
