Zastřešená ledová plocha o rozměrech 20 x 40 metrů bude sloužit jako tréninkové hřiště pro hokejisty, ale i bruslení veřejnosti nebo amatérské nadšence zimního sportu. Součástí arény bude i zázemí v podobě šaten, sociálního zařízení, k dispozici bude služba pro půjčování bruslí a prostor pro rolbu. Recepci s posezením mohou využít maminky s dětmi, které si přijdou zabruslit. „Jedná se o sportoviště, na kterém se neodehrají mistrovská utkání, ale je určeno pro fan sportovce a děti. Když rozpustíme led, můžeme ho využít pro všechny teniskové sporty. Protože je hala multifunkční, bude sloužit i pro jiné sporty - florbal, malou kopanou, nohejbal nebo volejbal,“ řekl starosta. Provoz budou zajišťovat zdejší technické služby - Technis Kojetín.<br>
