Sjeli se z celé republiky, aby si společně užili to, co je spojuje a co mají rádi – hokej. Někteří ho hráli nebo ještě hrají v soutěžích „od ligy dolů“, jiní ho provozují rekreačně. Každý rok se pak v lednu sejdou na Františku, kde si po vzoru zámořských hokejistů „střihnou“ Winter Classic – v tomto případě s dovětkem Prague. Letos tedy Winter Classic Prague 2017.
„I když jsme centrální městská část v památkové zóně, sport u nás rozhodně nestojí stranou, a to po celý rok. Aktivně ho provozujeme, jako radnice podporujeme a hlavně – máme ho rádi,“ prohlásil sportovec a fanoušek v jedné osobě, starosta Městské části Praha 1 Oldřich Lomecký, který si mač pod širým nebem nenechal ujít a navíc mu udělil svoji starostenskou záštitu.
Modří proti červeným, pod dohledem muže v pruhovaném a kamarádů, přítelkyň a manželek za mantinely, ze sebe vydali opravdu všechno, i když góly rozhodně nebyly důležité a ani je nikdo pořádně nepočítal. Stejně jako v zámoří ani na Františku o přestávce nechyběla soutěž o nejtvrdšího střelce a stejně jako v jiných sportech v Čechách a na Moravě se po zápase muselo všechno ještě řádně prodiskutovat, v tomto případě v Harley's baru v Dlouhé ulici.
A tak zase za rok. A nezapomeňte ve zbylých měsících řádně potrénovat.
