Malebný historický městys s 1195 obyvateli se nachází 7 kilometrů od Strakonic směrem na Blatnou. Součástí Radomyšle jsou osady Domanice, Leskovice, Láz, Podolí a Rojice. Městský znak Radomyšl obdržela již roku 1605 za vlády velkopřevora Matouše Děpolta z Lobkovic. Bohatá historie sahá až do pravěku. Archeologický výzkum prokázal osídlení sahající do V. století našeho letopočtu. V samém centru obce bylo odkryto rozsáhlé pohřebiště, pocházející z dob osídlení prvními Slovany ve 12. století. Zde byl nalezen také hrob vampýra, který byl pohřben tak, aby nemohl po smrti škodit jiným. Od 14. století byla bohatá historie obce neodmyslitelně spjata s řádem Maltézských rytířů. První písemná zmínka o Radomyšli je z roku 1284, kdy byla obec zmiňována jako majetek panského rodu Bavorů ze Strakonic.<br>
