Zdické údolí je ve směru východním uzavřeno vrchem zvaným Knihov. Z levé strany jej obchází státní silnice, dříve císařská cesta na Prahu, zpravaZdice_Knihov_1929 pak moderní dálnice a řeka Litavka.<br>Vrch Knihov, jako většina okolních kopců byl do poloviny 19. století bez lesního porostu. Zalesňování se postupně realizovalo stromky, které obci daroval kníže Colloredo Mansfeld z Dobříše.<br>V roce 1923, když začínala hospodářské krize, byl kopec Knihov <b>z obecních prostředků upraven na lesopark, </b>který se stal vyhledávaným místem občanů k odpočinku. Uprostřed lesoparku byl 17.9.1934 odhalen <b>památník zakladateli Sokola dr. Miroslavu Tyršovi </b>u příležitost jeho stých narozenin.<br>V polovině 20. století vzniklo na Knihově <b>přírodní hlediště a plocha</b>, která sloužila pro ochotnická divadelní představení a mnoho tanečních zábav.<br> V roce 2000 začala postupná revitalizace lesoparku, byly vytvořeny průzory mezi stromy s výhledem na město a obnoveny lavičky ve srubovém provedení, rekonstrukce se dočkal i <b>Tyršův památník</b>, který se tak odkryl návštěvníkům lesoparku v plné kráse.<br><br>
