This small series of photographs was inspired by George Orwell's book 1984. I tried to give an Orwellian sci-fi twist to everyday activities. The images are meant to give a somewhat sardonic, ironic view of what life might be like under a Big Brother´s state. Perhaps we should not only learn from the mistakes of the past. We should also think about what our lives might be like in the future if we don't learn these lessons. Most of the props used are authethic accessories of civilian defence from the sixties of 20th century. Petr Salek<br> <br>Název této fotografické série byl inspirován knihou George Orwella 1984. Pokusil jsem se stylizovat každodenní aktivity v duchu orwellovské sci-fi; snímky s nádechem černého humoru mají vytvořit ironickou představu o tom, jak by mohl vypadat život ve státě, kterému vládne Velký bratr. Možná bychom se neměli poučovat jen z chyb minulosti, ale měli bychom se také zamyslet nad tím, jak by náš život mohl v budoucnosti vypadat, pokud se nepoučíme… Všechny použité rekvizity jsou autentické pomůcky civilní obrany zhruba ze 60. let 20.století.
