Šálek styl izuje každodenní akt ivi ty v duchu orwellowské sci - f i ; snímky s nádechem černého humoru mají vytvořit ironickou představu o tom, jak by mohl vypadat život ve státě, kterému vládne Velký bratr. Možná bychom se neměli poučovat jen z chyb minulosti, ale měl i bychom se také zamyslet nad tím, jak by náš život mohl v budoucnost i vypadat, pokud se nepoučíme. Pro diváka může být zajímavá skutečnost, že Šálek emigroval z komunistického Československa v roce 1981 a do České republiky se vrátil až po sametové revoluci .Většina rekvizit na fotografiích pochází z doby okolo roku 1970 nebo i dřívější .<br>Věra Matějů<br><br>The title of this series of photographs was inspired by George Orwell 's book 1984. Perhaps we should not only learn <br>from mistakes of the past ,but we should also think about<br>what our life might look like in the future if those lessons aren’t learned.
