„It was in 1976. Prague seemed gray and sad. Half of the houses were covered with wooden scaffolding. Other houses would then would have needed scaffolding, too. Once I was walking along the street Na Rybníčku and was attracted by a house, apparently awaiting demolition. The front door was missing, no one was there. I entered the house and realized it was the last chance to capture it all on film. I ran home for a Linhof camera, some ORWO color films and a tripod. Soňa, my then girlfriend and later wife, was my assistant. We wanted to lighten the subject a bit. Within a month, the house was gone. But the negatives remained.<br><br>„Psal se rok 1976. Praha působila šedě a smutně. Polovina domů byla obalena dřevěným lešením. Ostatní domy by tehdy lešení taky potřebovaly. Když jsem jednou procházel ulicí Na Rybníčku, zaujal mne dům, zřejmě určený k demolici. Domovní vchod postrádal dveře, nikde nikdo. Celé jsem to prolezl a uvědomil si, že mám poslední možnost to vše zachytit na film. Utíkal jsem domů pro fotoaparát Linhof a pár barevných filmů ORWO a stativ. Jako asistentku jsem angažoval Soňu, mou tehdejší přítelkyni a pozdější manželku. Chtěli jsme to pojmout trochu s nadsázkou. Za měsíc dům zmizel. Negativy zůstaly.<br>
