Das Werk namens "People's Justice" des indonesischen Künstlerkollektivs Taring Padi sorgte kurz nach der Eröffnung der Weltkunstausstellung, am Samstag, 18. Juni, wegen antisemitischer Bildsprache für eine Welle der Empörung. Die Verantwortlichen der documenta entschieden am Mintag, 20. Juni zunächst, das Werk mit schwarzen Stoffbahnen zu verhängen. Am Dienstagabend wurde es dann ganz abgebaut. - Wochenlang blieb der Platz an dieser Stelle leer. In unmittelbarer Nähe des abgebauten Skandalkunstwerkes entsatnd Ende August in Zusammenarbeit des BDA mit mehreren Schulen auf dem Friedrichsplatz ein Objekt aus Holz und Stoff. „Voices“, also Stimmen, lautet der Titel. Es seien Stimmen gegen Hass, der im Internet und anderswo verbreitet werde, gegen Diskriminierung und auch gegen Antisemitismus. Ein offenes Projekt, an dem sich jeder und jede beteiligen könne.<br><br>In Kooperation mit der documenta fifteen erarbeitet die BDA Gruppe Kassel acht Beiträge zur Ausstellungsarchitektur. Aufgabenstellung durch die documenta fifteen ist, Orte zum Rasten, Besinnen und Reflektieren zu schaffen. Es entstehen unterschiedlichste Reflecting Points über den Stadtraum Kassels verteilt. Für den Reflecting Point „Kohlemuseum“ am Friedrichsplatz wurde aus einem schwarzen Block symbolisch die Form der grünen Karlswiese des benachbarten Landschaftsparks Karlsaue herausgestanzt.<br><br><br><br><br>Fotos: Hans Jürgen Groß<br>
