"Die große Karlswiese vor der Orangerie ist das Herz des 125 Hektar großen Staatsparks Karlsaue. Der barocke Auepark, der nach seinem Mäzen Landgraf Karl von Hessen-Kassel benannt wurde, ist schon seit vielen Jahren ein wichtiger Ausstellungsort für die documenta. Hier fand 1955 auch jene Bundesgartenschau statt, in deren Rahmen Arnold Bode seine erste documenta konzipierte.<br><br>In diesem Jahr sind <a target="_blank" Cinema" target="_blank">href="https://documenta-fifteen.de/lumbung-member-kuenstlerinnen/cinema-caravan-und-takashi-kuribayashi/">Cinema Caravan und Takashi Kuribayashi</a> mit Zelten, einer Kräutersauna und einem Open-Air-Kino im Park präsent. Das Kollektiv nutzt die Karawane als Modell einer Gemeinschaft, in der sich der Einzelne seine Autonomie bewahrt und trotzdem gemeinsam mit anderen zu einer Community zusammenwächst. <a target="_blank" The" target="_blank">href="https://documenta-fifteen.de/lumbung-member-kuenstlerinnen/the-nest-collective/">The Nest Collective</a> aus Nairobi macht mit <i>Return to Sender,</i> einer begehbaren Installation aus Müll, auf den Transport von Müll, Elektroschrott und Textilien in die Länder des Globalen Südens aufmerksam, die dort zur Zerstörung der Umwelt und der Ökonomie beitragen.
