In een zaal met meer dan 200 bezoekers vond op 8 januari het nieuwjaarsconcert van Fascinating Jazz plaats in het Hotel Golden Tulip Zoetermeer. De opening werd verricht door wethouder Robin Paalvast en de eerste artiesten van het nieuwe jaar waren Greetje Kauffeld, Dolf de Vries en Harry Emmery. Als verrassing zong Greetje een nummer samen met de zeer gewaardeerde zangeres Laura Fygi die in de zaal aanwezig was.
