Some of my earliest shots with my then new macro lens. I had never shot in RAW at this point and I wish I had done these in RAW rather than JPG. All the Trillium shots are taken on the Bruce Peninsula. I won't say where because photographers and hikers have already damaged the environment of some more exotic and rare plants than these in the Bruce.

The bug is apaprently called a Daddy Longlegs which is a generic name for different bugs. The weirdly coloured shot of the Dandelion-like "Hawksbeard" was an attempt to do something useful with anotherwise useless shot. When you can't take a decent shot, try post-production!

The one photo that was shot in RAW, then processed, is from, obviously, a different time of year, the ice-encrusted red Sedum. I took only a few shots as it was incredibly cold that late afternoon, laying on the ground with my camera and no gloves. The warmish yellow behind it is, unfortunately, not real sunshine, but a flashlight I planted in the snow behind, to give the illusion of sun on an otherwise dreary, cold afternoon.
