Obec Václavovice se nachází v kraji Moravskoslezském, v severním výběžku okresu Frýdek-Místek, nedaleko tří velkých měst, Ostravy, Havířova a Frýdku-Místku. Malebná víska je rozložena na svazích dvou kopců nad údolím kolem Frýdeckého potoka. Václavovice jsou poprvé písemně zmiňovány v soupisu obcí Těšínského knížectví povinovaných odvodem desátek vratislavskému biskupství, sepsaném v r. 1302. Ze starobylého názvu obce Václavovice - "Wenceslavowitz" lze však usuzovat, že osada předcházející obci existovala již koncem 13. století. Jméno vesnice je odvozeno od jejího prvního držitele, Václava, či Věnceslava. Převzato z kroniky obce. Tímto úvodem , jsem chtěl trochu přiblížit písmem svoji rodnou vesnici.
