Our original expectations of Australia was a semi arid country, nothing to see inland and everyone lives along the coast. But this is a huge compendium of some 330 photos of the wildlife we saw on a 14 day road trip from Sydney to the Macquarie Marshes of inland NSW in the spring of 2020. This shows just a small part of the NSW bush that bursts into bloom every year after the dormant winter landscape.

Some of the places we visited include the Warrumbungle National Park (a temperate savanna grasslands park in the Warrumbungle mountains, a region with unusual lava formations), The Pilliga scrub (semi arid woodlands) Macquarie Marshes (wetlands of the Macquarie River floodplains). Warren a quiet rural town (sheep and cotton) on the Macquarie River with the excellent Tiger Bay Wetlands. Narrabri, (an agricultural town - cotton, wheat, beef on the Namoi River) and the nearby Mount Kaputar National Park.

We have labelled most of the plants, birds animals and the scenery if you wish to find out more information about these photos. Some have also been uploaded to iNaturalist, a worldwide internet site for global biodiversity Information research.
