BHA BHP bridge flight monastery monks mountain Paro shop www
Paro is the site of the Taktsang (the Tiger’s Nest) monastery - which clings on a rocky cliff-face 900 metres above the valley floor - it is possibly the most recognisable symbol for Bhutan. Paro is where the main international airport is located and pilots have to visually navigate flights along a narrow valley corridor which adds to your experience of Bhutan.
Pictures include: Paro town, Rinpung Dzong, phallic symbols and photos taken from plane of the flight across the Himalayas & the landing & takeoff from Paro airport.
