We entered Costa Rica via the Guabito Crossing from Panama. Our visit was mainly to visit the National Parks to see its flora & fauna, volcanoes, bubbling mud, hot springs etc., at the Arenal volcano, the Monteverde Cloud Forest & Rincon de la Vieja national parks. At Limon we saw the statue to Christopher Columbus & his son. Visited the Del Monte Banana Packing Factory, went by small boat up the Sarapiqui River, canopy walkways in NP. We photographed Capuchin Monkey, Basilisk, Coati's, Iguana, Otter, Humming Birds, Spectacled Owl, Toucan, Grooved-billed Ani, Black Vultures, snakes, butterflies, moths and the range of plants was stunning.
