Panama is a compact country on the isthmus linking North & South America where you can swim in the Pacific Ocean & a few hours later swim in the Caribbean Sea. It's a prosperous country and it's capital is Panama City which is built around a bay. Its famous for the Panama Canal & Barro Colorado Research Institiute, Lake Gatum.
With its lush tropical jungles and unspoilt islands to explore, we photographed Three toed Sloth, Green Iguana, Green Vine Snake, Howler Monkey, crocodile, Black Vultures, Pelicans, Flycatcher and a Harpy Eagle (in zoo), poisonous Red Frog, the Panama Flame tree & the Cannon-ball tree. It has a rich Spanish colonial past with many forts built to protect the looted South American gold from British pirates such as Captain Morgan & Francis Drake. We visited The Black Christ in San Felipe Church, Portobelo.
