Leaving Carnarvon, we had lunch at the Gladstone Scenic Lookout with its Travellers' memorial, visited the Hamelin Pool stromatolites before stopping at Denham, Shark Bay. Denham has a building made from compressed seashells and again has spectacular sunsets. At Monkey Mia, watched the dolphin feeding, went sailing on Shark Bay & explored the Peron homestead. Wildlife photographed in Shark Bay area include Dolphin, pelican, emu, cormorant, swallow and Spotted Military Dragon. Departing Denham, we stopped at the Eagle Bluff Lookout where you look down into crystal clear waters to see sharks etc., and at Shell Beach, Shark bay, where the beach is formed from billions of Fragum cockle shells.
