Leaving Perth, we travelled south along the coast to Mandurah, Yalgorup, Australind, Bunbury, Busselton, Dunsborough to Cape Naturaliste visiting reserves & parks: Creery Wetland Reserve at Mandurah, Lake Clifton in Yalgorup NP, Manea Park and the Mangrove Boardwalk at Bunbury, Turt Forest NP and the Ambergate Reserve at Busselton.
Some reserves visited have boardwalks & bird hides. Seen were Turt trees, Freshwater Paperbarks, Thrombolites at Lake Clifton, unusual road signs, Grass Trees, Australian emperor dragonfly. At Busselton, the Jetty and its sunsets, Geographe Bay beaches and part of the coastal walk from Dunsborough. Dunsborough Beach Sculpture, whale breaching off Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, sunset with drone at Yallingup Beach.
Birds seen include: Splendid Fairy Wren, Australian Raven, Silvereye, Grey Butcherbird, Ibis, Black Swans, Eurasian Coot, Rufous Whistler , Australasian Swamphen , Willie Wagtail, Australian Wood Duck, Common Bronzewing, Forest Red-tailed Black Cockatoo and New Holland Honeyeater.
