Our Explore tour of the Rocky Mountains continued from Canada into the USA to visit some of it's most spectacular national parks in the Rockies: Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Our trip ended at Salt Lake City in the Wasatch Range which is at the western edge of the greater Rocky Mountains.
In Glacier National Park, we explored Red Rock Lake & Falls, Baring Creek & Baring Falls, travelled on the Going-to-the-Sun road, saw Alpine flowers along the Hidden Lake trail and visited the Many Glacier Hotel with its views across Swiftcurrent Lake to Mt Grinnell. Yellowstone national park is in Wyoming and stretches into Montana and Idaho. Sections visited include Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone River Grand Canyon and West Thumb Geyser Basin. In the Upper Geyser Basin, Old Faithful, the Morning Glory Pool, Grand Geyser, Grotto Geyser & other hot springs & pools. At the Midway Geyser Basin, The Grand Prismatic Spring and in the Lower Geyser Basin The Fountain Paint Pot trail. In Grand Teton National Park, we crossed Jenny Lake to walk to Hidden Falls.
