Short road trips to photograph the flora and fauna in the national parks, state forests, nature reserves, etc., around Sydney, NSW.
2020 Tuggerah Lake
Tuggerah Lake is about 100 klms north of Sydney. When the Pandemic lockdown restrictions were eased in NSW, we visited Chittaway Point, a suburb on the Lake and The Entrance at it’s estuary.
2021 Somersby and Strickland Falls
These pictures show what it is like to walk through Australian rain forests so suggest play as a slideshow. This is just a small sample of what to see at the Central Coast, less than 2 hours drive north of Sydney. We spent the day exploring the areas when the Pandemic lockdown restrictions were eased. Somersby Falls are in the Brisbane Water NP & is a popular picnic area. Our photos are of the scenes as you walk down the 3 cascades. The Strickland State Forest Falls track is more rugged, the scenery is untamed and the falls just a trickle. Starting from the lower car park, they show the flora along this trail plus birds, reptiles you may see but hopefully you don't pick up my leach.
