Místo demolice bývalého Bekonu využili i záchranáři, konkrétně psovodi Jednotky sboru dobrovolných hasičů z Hejnic. Kynologové z Hejnic jsou průkopníky; jejich jednotka je zakládajícím družstvem psovodů záchranných psů u hasičů v ČR. Jsou součástí integrovaného záchranného systému se specializací na pátrání po pohřešovaných osobách a podle jejich webových stránek již byli nasazeni při více než 250 ostrých zásazích v osmi zemích světa. Jednotku se speciálně vycvičenými psy využívají všechny složky IZS. O jejich pomoc může požádat i fyzická osoba, a to prostřednictvím Policie ČR nebo přímo na pohotovostních linkách uvedených na webu psovodů JSDHO a SDH Hejnice. Pomoc v rámci ČR nabízejí bez jakýchkoliv finančních nároků. V Bekonu svůj výcvik kynologové zaměřili na vyhledání osoby uvízlé v sutinách.<br>Foto: Roman Sedláček / www.hradek.cz<br>
