Ani po dvaceti letech se nevytratila vzpomínka na romskou fotbalovou jedenáctku, která v Hrádku nad Nisou hrávala pod názvem „Státní statek“. Na počest téhle staré gardy připravil spolek Gypsy Legend ve spolupráci s mimoňskou Lampou den plný sportu obohacený kulturním programem.
Na trávníku změřily své síly děti i dospělí. Fotbalisté z Hrádku nad Nisou, Mimoně, Chrastavy a Jablonce nad Nisou sehráli řadu utkání. Ke slovu přišla i stará garda, na jejíž počest byla sešlost pořádána.
Potlesk sklidila vystoupení dětských tanečních souborů z Mimoně i Hrádku a příjemný pohodový den na hřišti u ZŠ T.G.M. zakončila hudbou místní skupina Gypsy Legend. O ní slýcháme čím dál víc. Členové si založili spolek a z jejich nápadu se zrodil i hrádecký Romský benefiční festival, který letos už podruhé svým finančním výtěžkem podpořil prostřednictvím Ostrova života naše dlouhodobě nemocné spoluobčany. Fotbalová sešlost je další akcí, kterou tahle parta ve městě uspořádala, zdaleka nejen pro svoje etnikum.
