Hrádek nad Nisou si dnes hned několikrát připomenul 74 let od ukončení 2. světové války. Nejprve to bylo u pomníku Obětem válek ve Školní ulici, později u pietního kamene připomínajícího příslušníka Stráže obrany státu Rudolfa Zárybnického, jedné z prvních obětí druhé světové války na Liberecku a posléze i na městském hřbitově u památníku Obětem nacismu. K uctění památky životů ztracených ve válečné vřavě položili na těchto místech za účasti několika málo hostů kytice zástupci Města Hrádek nad Nisou, Libereckého kraje a Armády České republiky.
