Přes kapky deště usilovně bubnující do listí, deštníků i vozovky, sešlo se dnes před Pomníkem obětem válek u Základní školy Lidická malé shromáždění u příležitosti 17. listopadu, Dne boje za svobodu a demokracii a Mezinárodního dne studenstva. 83 let od uzavření českých vysokých škol a brutální razie nacistických okupantů proti studentům a 33. let od počátku sametové revoluce přítomní symbolicky zavzpomínaly při proslovu místostarosty Města Hrádku nad Nisou pana Pavla Farského na významné okamžiky v dějinách našeho národa. Kladené svíčky potom, stejně jako v jiných letech, ozářily pomník uprostřed potemnělého parku. Znovu nechyběl ani zpěv Chrámového sboru od sv.
