--------- o ---------

I have always loved painting, I remember a beautiful book on the Impressionists that I always had in my hands as a child, and I would have liked to know to paint, but it takes too much patience for my nature. I have always admired those who know how to create an image starting from a white rectangle, starting exclusively from their dreams. On the contrary photography is still linked to some objective reality, even if the final result is a personal interpretation. I called this album Anticographs because it is a spelling of the memory, ancient, almost ancestral memories, a bridge between feelings and sensations that are deposited in the mind and in the heart, archaic emotions a little faded and corroded by time, but linked to a desired, dreamed future, a kind of lost paradise whose return is expected. Thus was born the idea of mixing the forms of Nature, in particular the archetypal shapes of trees, with the porous and acid colors of old cracked walls or rough surfaces corroded by time. The game of a slightly grown child, who still remembers the scent of the print and the brilliant colors of that fabulous book.
