"C'è una città di questo mondo, ma così bella, ma così strana, che pare un gioco di fata Morgana, e una visione del cuore profondo" ....<br>... così inizia una poesia di Diego Valeri su questa città che un tempo ispirava poeti ed artisti, oggi invece ispira solo vuoti dibattiti politici e sterili discussioni. Venezia oggi rappresenta, almeno per me, un monumento all'indifferenza del mondo moderno verso ciò che è poesia, bellezza, ricordo e intimità. Un monumento al'incuria, allo spreco, alla superficialità, ai sogni infranti, alla malinconia, alla voracità consumista di emozioni, al potere distruttivo del denaro. Lascia un sapore amaro camminare tra suggestive calli e romantici canali, tra spazzatura galleggiante e muri scrostati, un senso di angoscia ti prende l'anima passeggiando in bilico tra sogno realtà, tra Romanticismo e squallorE, ma questo è il nostro mondo oggi.<br>Una bellissima signora, ormai avanti con l'età, e consumata dal male.<br><br>"Questa era Venezia, la bella lusinghiera e ambigua, la città metà fiaba e metà trappola,, nella cui atmosfera corrotta l’arte un tempo si sviluppò rigogliosa" (Thomas Mann)<br>____________________<br><br>"There is a city of this world, but so beautiful, but so strange,<br>that looks like a fairy Morgana game, and a vision of the profound heart .... " ... so begins a poem by Diego Valeri on this city that once inspired poets and artists, but today it inspires only empty political debates and sterile discussions. Venice today represents, at least for me, a monument to the indifference of the modern world towards what is poetry, beauty, memory and intimacy. A monument to the carelessness, waste, superficiality, broken dreams, melancholy, voracious emotions, the destructive power of money. It leaves a bitter taste when walking between streets and canals, floating garbage and peeling walls, a sense of anguish, walking in the balance between dream and reality, between romance and dreariness, but this is our world today.
