V letošním školním roce seznamovací kurz poprvé po 10 letech proběhl bez výjezdu žáků (v posledních letech na Svahovou). V úterý 3. září se jednotlivým třídám věnovali třídní učitelé (seznamovací aktivity, pravidla třídy, školní řád apod.), tři třídy také absolvovaly školení v PPP Chomutov, jehož obsahem byly především metody přípravy na výuku na střední škole. Toto školení vedla Mgr. K. Homolová a Mgr. K. Thótová. Zbývající dvě třídy výše uvedeným školením projdou 10. září.
Středa 4. září byla věnována mezitřídnímu sportovnímu turnaji.
Žáci se rozdělili do skupin, které se mezi sebou utkaly např. ve florbale, fotbale, streetu či boče. V tomto klání po urputném boji nakonec zvítězila třída 1. E.
Ačkoli kurz proběhl netypickou formou a ve zkrácené podobě, můžeme tvrdit, že splnil očekávání jak žáků, tak vyučujících, kteří se na něm podíleli.
