Koncem září se v rezidenci Velvyslanectví USA v Praze konala recepce pro všechny účastníky Fulbrightova programu 2018/19. Byli pozvání také Chad Alexander Bousley (náš americký asistent a stipendista), ředitel školy Ing. Jan Lacina a mentorka programu Ing. Ivana Spínová.
Budova v ulici Ronalda Reagana v Bubenči, zvaná též Petschkova vila, nám otevřela krásné prostory a nádhernou zahradu. Teplý letní večer přímo vybízel k neformální konverzaci s přítomnými hosty, ochutnávání různých specialit a procházce pod starými mohutnými stromy. Projev zástupkyně velvyslance Kelly Adams-Smith vystřídalo krátké představení všech letošních stipendistů, kteří jsou rozmístěni po celé České republice, v různých školách a vzdělávacích či vědeckých institucích. Náš asistent Chad nás potěšil slovy o tom, jak se mu v Chomutově líbí a jak si váží příležitosti poznávat život v naší zemi.
Přejeme tedy Chadovi, ať mu vydrží jeho entuziasmus po celou dobu pobytu a americkému velvyslanectví děkujeme za nevšední zážitek, na který budeme dlouho vzpomínat.
