V úterý 18.11.2014 se v rámci projektu ”Přírodovědné a technické vzdělávání Ústeckého kraje” uskutečnila s žáky třídy A4 a vybranými žáky ze ZŠ Na Příkopech prohlídka mezinárodního veletrhu „For Energo“, zaměřeného na oblast elektrotechniky, automatizace, energetiky a elektroniky. Studenti tak měli možnost na jednom místě nejen vidět průmyslové zařízení z uvedených oblastí, ale některé komponenty o kterých se většinou zatím jen učili, si také prakticky vyzkoušet. K vidění byly i velmi zajímavé projekty studentů z vysokých škol. Například tým ze Západočeské univerzity ukázal stylový elektromotocykl ve stylu chopper s označením Blue Elyctra. Ze spolupráce VUT Brno a společnosti Jihlavan airplanes zase vznikl experimentální letoun na elektrický pohon, který již vzlétnul a dosáhl čistého letového času 27 minut. Návštěva veletrhu pomohla vhodným způsobem provázat teorii s praxí a umožnila studentům osobní kontakt s odborníky z praxe.
