V letošním roce se studenti naší školy již podruhé zúčastnili studijní cesty do Polska.
První den jsme navštívili Krakow, nejkrásnější polské město a zároveň sídlo polských králů. Zhlédli jsme katedrálu na Wawelu, prošli jsme uličky, hřbitov a synagogu v židovské čtvrti Kazimierz. Celodenní program jsme završili návštěvou Schindlerovy továrny s expozicí – Krakow v období druhé světové války. V autobuse jsme pak sledovali film Schindlerův seznam.
Následující den jsme s průvodkyní absolvovali prohlídku koncentračního tábora Osvětim – Ausschwitz I. a odpoledne pak KL Ausschwitz II. – Birkenau. Tato pietní místa se stala symbolem teroru, hromadných vražd a Holocaustu. Zahynulo zde kolem 1,1 mil. Židů ze všech zemí Evropy, 150 tis. Poláků, 23 tis. Romů, přes 15 tis. ruských zajatců. Koncem války se esesáci pokoušeli odstranit stopy svých zločinů, demontovali plynové komory, krematoria a ničili dokumentaci.
