Magická lóže vznikla v r. 1990 v Jaroměři, na Šlejfírně (tedy v místě dnešního Muzea magie). Pan Jaroslav Zach, který patřil mezi přední čsl. magiky kouzelníky, po ukončení své profesionální dráhy se začal věnovat historii kouzelnického umění. V r. 1992 se vrátil do své rodné Jaroměře a objevil pro dějiny českého kouzelnictví osobnost národního buditele i spisovatele, pedagoga, vynálezce a mnemotechnika, autora prvního kouzelného divadla, dnes poněkud zapomenutého obrozence Michala Silorada Patrčku, který v Jaroměři zemřel. Tato osobnost byla uznána za patrona českých kouzelníků. Pan Zach celý život sbíral dokumenty, plakáty, výstřižky, literaturu, kouzelnické rekvizity a další exponáty a celou svou sbírku vystavil v Muzeu magie, které vybudoval na své vlastní náklady na svém pozemku a v roce 2009 slavnostně otevřel veřejnosti. Muzeum magie je jediné v ČR a je považováno za jediné specializované muzeum ve střední Evropě.<br>
