Vysoké Chvojno je obec 4 km od Holic. Dominantou obce je kostel sv. Gotharda ze 14. stol., na návsi najdeme zvoničku a Boží muka. V letech 1886-1889 nechal zde tehdejší majitel lesních pozemků italský šlechtic markrabě Alexander Pallavicini vybudovat park v anglickém slohu. V dnešním arboretu můžeme obdivovat 62 druhů jehličnanů a 152 listnáčů, z nichž je většina dovezena ze Severní Ameriky a Asie. Stráň pod arboretem nazývaná Prácheňská je od r. 1955 chráněná jako PR U Parku. Pod PR původně chtěl šlechtic Pallavicini nechat vybudovat zámek pro svého syna Karla. Ten ale tragicky zemřel v Anglii při lovu na lišku. Z toho důvodu šlechtic od stavby zámku upustil a nechal postavit vilu ve stylu loveckého zámečku a hájenku pro personál. Nyní je ve vile penzion. Další zajímavostí v obci je zookoutek s asi 30ti hlavým stádem spárkaté zvěře - mufloni, jeleni, daňci, které můžeme pozorovat ze stylové pozorovatelny. Na druhém konci obce lze navštívit výběh pro bizony americké a naproti nim je další výběh pro daňky.<br>
