Malé městečko na obou březích řeky Tiché Orlice nabízí hodně historických i přírodních zajímavostí. Historické jádro je od r.1995 městskou památkovou zónou. Jednou z krásných památek je zámek postavený stavitelem Josefem Tůmou (Thoma) na žádost rodiny Trautmannosdorfů. V letech 1911 - 1914 byl vlastníkem František Plch, oční lékař a člen Okrašlovacího spolku. V r. 1950 byl zámek zestátněn. Po r. 1996 sloužila budova jako výchovný ústav pro problémové dívky. O rok později poškodily zámek povodně. Provoz ústavu byl přerušen až v r. 2013, když spadl nad hlavním schodištěm strop. Naštěstí nikdo nebyl zraněn. Od r. 2014 byl zámek opakovaně nabízen v dražbě. Po dobu, kdy nebyl obydlen došlo k jeho velké devastaci. Teprve od r.2019 se této budovy ujala parta nadšenců, kteří se snaží vrátit jí tehdejší krásu.<br>
